Loading tool…

Application portals, exam and job forms, and government sites often take a PDF of 100 KB at most, and a scanned certificate or a phone photo of a form is many times that. Drop the PDF in: the limit is already set to 100 KB, and the tool finds the best quality that fits under it.

It shrinks the pictures first, step by step — 300, 200, 150, then 100 pixels per inch — keeping the text, links and form fields as they are, and stops at the first step that fits. If that is not enough, it draws the pages as pictures at falling resolutions, which is what gets a scan down far; then the text can no longer be selected, and you can untick that if you need to keep it. If nothing gets under 100 KB, you get the smallest it could make, and it says so — a long scan may need fewer pages. Another limit is a click away. The PDF never leaves your browser.

Need a different limit? PDF Compressor takes any target, in KB or MB — whatever the form asks for.

Frequently asked questions

Will my PDF definitely fit under 100 KB?

Most single-page scans and documents do. A PDF of many scanned pages may not, even drawn at a low resolution: then you get the smallest the tool could make, and it tells you it is over. Splitting the PDF, or scanning at a lower resolution, gets further.

Will the text still be selectable?

If shrinking the pictures is enough, yes — the text, links and form fields are kept. Only if it is not are the pages drawn as pictures; then the text can no longer be selected or searched. Untick Flatten the pages if that is the only way to keep the text, whatever the size.

Is 100 KB here the same as 100 KB on the form?

It is 100,000 bytes, the way upload forms almost always count. A few count 102,400; a file under 100,000 is under both.

Can I choose another size?

Yes. 200 KB, 500 KB, 1 MB and 2 MB are a click away, or type any size.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. It is compressed in your own browser and saved straight to your device — which matters for certificates and ID documents.
