PDF Watermark
PDFStamp CONFIDENTIAL, DRAFT or a logo across the pages of one PDF or several — in your browser, never uploaded.
PDF Watermark stamps a word or a logo across the pages of a PDF — CONFIDENTIAL on a contract going out for review, DRAFT on a report that is not final, a client's name on the copy sent to them, your logo on a portfolio. Type the text or choose a preset, or add a picture; set it diagonal or straight, once in the middle or repeated over the page, as faint or as strong as you like, on every page or only some. The preview is the page itself, watermarked exactly as it will be saved. Drop several PDFs to mark them all the same way and download them together. The watermark is added on your device — the documents you are marking as confidential are not uploaded anywhere — and the rest of each PDF stays as it was: its text can still be searched and copied, its links and form fields still work. A watermark marks a document; it does not lock it, and a PDF editor can take one out again.

How to use PDF Watermark
- 1Add your PDF
One PDF or several. They are opened in your browser — a PDF with a password asks for it here — and nothing is uploaded.
- 2Set the watermark
CONFIDENTIAL, DRAFT or your own words, or a picture; diagonal or straight, once or repeated, its size and how see-through. The preview is the page as it will be saved.
- 3Download
Every page, or only the ones you name, gets the watermark; several PDFs come as one zip, each under its own name.
Frequently asked questions
Is my PDF uploaded to add the watermark?
No. The PDF is opened and the watermark written in your own browser, and the file is saved straight to your device. Contracts and drafts marked confidential stay where they are.
Can the watermark be removed?
Yes, by someone with a PDF editor and the will to do it: a watermark is drawn on the page like everything else, and nothing locks it there. It marks a document and makes a copy's origin plain; it does not protect it. To take words or pictures out of a PDF for good, use Redact PDF.
Does the PDF's own text stay searchable?
Yes. The watermark is added on top of each page and nothing else is changed: the text can still be searched and copied, links still go where they went, and form fields still work. A digitally signed PDF is the exception — any change, a watermark included, breaks the signature, and the tool says so first.
Can I put a watermark on only some pages?
Yes. Write the pages under Pages — for example 1-3, 5 — and only those are marked. Left empty, every page is.
Can I use my logo as a watermark?
Yes. Choose Picture and add a PNG or JPG; a PNG keeps its transparent background. Set its size, how see-through it is, and whether it sits once in the middle or repeats over the page.
Which letters can the text have?
Those of Western European languages — English, Norwegian with æ, ø and å, German, French, Spanish and the rest — in the PDF's standard Helvetica, which every PDF reader has. Other letters are named before anything is saved.
Can I watermark several PDFs at once?
Yes: drop them together, and each gets the same watermark; they download as one zip, each under its own name. The free plan does a few at a time; Pro has no limit. One download is one run.
