PDF to CSV
PDFThe tables in a PDF as a CSV — rows and columns read on your device, nothing uploaded.
CSV is what a table becomes when it has to go somewhere else: into a database, a script, an accounting import, or a spreadsheet in another country. Drop a PDF with a table in it — an export from a bank, an invoice, a price list — and its rows and columns are read from where the text sits on each page, with a preview of every page's table before anything is saved. The CSV keeps each cell exactly as the PDF wrote it, numbers included, and every page's rows follow each other in one file.
The file is semicolon-separated with a byte-order mark, which is what Excel expects in Norway, Germany and France, where the comma is the decimal mark, and what keeps æ, ø and å whole. For numbers you can add up straight away, choose Excel instead. Everything happens in your browser; the PDF is never uploaded.

How it works
- 1Add the PDF
A PDF with a table in it. It is read in your browser — nothing is uploaded.
- 2Check the table
Each page's rows and columns are shown as they will be saved.
- 3Download the CSV
One semicolon-separated file under the PDF's name, every page's rows in order.
Frequently asked questions
Why semicolons and not commas?
Because in much of Europe the comma is the decimal mark — 1 234,50 — and Excel there splits a CSV on semicolons. A comma-separated file would put half of every amount in the next column. Most programs that read CSV let you choose the separator if yours wants commas.
Are the numbers changed?
No. Every cell is written exactly as it appears in the PDF; the program that opens the CSV reads the numbers in its own way. For numbers converted for you, choose Excel (.xlsx).
Does it work on a scanned PDF?
A scan has no text to read until it has been made searchable. The tool sees that and sends it to Make PDF Searchable first, on your device.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. It is read and the CSV written in your browser. Converting counts as one of the day's free runs.
