PDF to Excel
PDFTurn the tables in a PDF — statements, invoices, price lists — into an Excel sheet or CSV, read in your browser.
PDF to Excel takes the tables out of a PDF — a bank statement, an invoice, a price list, a report's figures — and puts them in a spreadsheet, row by row and column by column, so nothing has to be typed out again. A PDF has no tables inside it, only pieces of text placed on the page, so the rows are read from which pieces share a line and the columns from the gaps that run down the page between them. The preview shows the table exactly as it will be saved, page by page, before anything is downloaded. Numbers come out as numbers you can add up, read in the PDF's own style — 1 234,50 or 1,234.50 — and the whole PDF can go on one sheet or a sheet per page, as .xlsx for Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets, or as CSV. Everything happens in your browser: the statement you are converting is never uploaded. A scanned PDF has no text to read until it has been made searchable, and the tool sends it there first.

The preview shows each page's rows and columns as they will be saved. Choose Excel or CSV, and one sheet or a sheet per page.
- 3Download
The spreadsheet is saved under the PDF's name, numbers as numbers, ready for Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets.
Frequently asked questions
Is my PDF uploaded to convert it?
No. The PDF is read and the spreadsheet written in your own browser — which matters when it is a bank statement or a payslip. Nothing is sent anywhere.
Which PDFs work best?
PDFs made by a computer — exported from an accounting system, a bank, a spreadsheet or Word — with the table laid out in rows and columns. Those come out cell for cell. A table drawn as a picture, cells that run over two lines, or a page of two columns of running text may need tidying in the spreadsheet; the preview shows how each page comes out before you save.
Does it work on a scanned PDF?
Not directly: a scan is a picture of a page, with no text in it to read. The tool sees that and sends the PDF to Make PDF Searchable, which reads the words on your device and adds them to the PDF; convert that copy here afterwards.
Will the numbers add up in Excel?
Yes, when the PDF shows which mark is its decimal: amounts like 1 234,50 or 1,234.50 are read in the PDF's own style and saved as numbers, minus signs and brackets included. Where it could be either — 1,234 with nothing else to go by — the cell stays text rather than risk a wrong number. Untick Numbers as numbers to keep every cell exactly as written.
Excel or CSV?
Excel (.xlsx) keeps numbers as numbers and can put each page on its own sheet; it opens in Excel, Numbers, Google Sheets and LibreOffice. CSV is one plain file, semicolon-separated as Excel expects in Norway, Germany and France, with every cell as the PDF wrote it.
What about a table that runs over several pages?
Choose All pages on one sheet, and the rows of every page follow each other on one sheet, as one table. That is the starting choice when the pages share a layout, as a statement's do.
