Shelly's Piles

How to play

1. 1Shelly shows two piles of acorns.
2. 2One has more than the other.
3. 3Tap the pile Shelly asks for — more, or fewer.

For grown-ups

Comparing “more” and “fewer” is early number sense — knowing which group is bigger, at first by eye and later by counting. Piles start far apart and easy to eyeball, then close in so a glance won't do. From level two Shelly sometimes asks for fewer, not more, so it can't be won on autopilot.
